NSE Benin Branch Collaborates with BEDC to Celebrate International Women's Day

NSE Benin Branch Chairman, Engr. (Mrs) Tina Emwinghare Oigiagbe, PhD, FNSE, FNIPE, today, 9th March, 2026, in collaboration with the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC), will commemorate International Women’s Day with the theme: GIVE TO GAIN by visiting the following schools, namely: Christ the Redeemer School, Phelim School, and Cedar Pattern.

The talk awareness campaign was given by the Branch Chairman, who charged the group
Girl Child on building confidence in their studies, and she also encouraged them to be good ambassadors wherever they are called to serve.

In a similar event earlier today, the Benin Branch Chairman was also the Guest speaker at the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC), where she delivered a lecture on the topic: Building Confidence in a male-dominated work environment.

She charged the female employees to live up to the required standard in their various assigned duties, irrespective of gender.

This assertion was validated by the fact that the job functions of all employees are not gender sensitive vis-à-vis performance.

She congratulated all women on this year's remarkable celebration.
